Information for Parents

When should I bring my child to the dentist?

The American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry both recommend that children visit the dentist by their 1st birthday.

What should we expect at our first visit?

The first visit is an opportunity to acclimate your child to a new office.  We will review a number of aspects with regard to your child’s oral health in order to provide him or her with a plan for maintaining optimal oral health.

How often should we visit the dentist?

Every child is evaluated individually to specifically create a prevention plan and check-up schedule.  Generally, a check-up every six months at minimum is adequate to monitor your child’s oral health.

"Kindergarten forms"

Starting January 2007, all children in California entering Kindergarten or 1st grade are required to submit an Oral Health Assessment form. We are happy to fill out your forms free of charge for screening with one of our trained team members.
